Do you have an idea for a book for your business but don’t know where to begin?
A good book can be a powerful lead generator that will help market your business as a leader in its field. It can explain complex ideas that you cannot convey in a flyer or on your website.
However, a successful book must do more than just promote your business. It must be a great read that emotionally engages and passively educates your audience. Longueville Media’s background in educational and professional publishing means we understand how to create books that will achieve these outcomes.
To help you get there, we have created an Author Mentor Program. Through a series of regular consultations our mentoring will help you:
- Identify the vision for your book
- Plan its structure and content
- Stay on track to deliver a book that reflects well on your business
Since 2002, Longueville Media has helped dozens of authors create their ideal books.
Now it’s your turn.
British author Virginia Woolf said the most important thing one needs to be able to write fiction is a room of one’s own. Space is necessary, but as a business owner, there are other considerations. Finding time to write under the pressure of day-to-day deadlines and working out how to put down what you wish to say on paper, are common problems faced by our business authors.
Our Author Mentor Program can’t help you with a room of your own, but we can help you create a book plan, remain focussed, set milestones, and be at your side to discuss your writing and the content and structure of your book at regular intervals.
Book us in to achieve your writing goals
Central to the mentoring program is completing our Book Planning Pyramid. This plan helps establish a structure and direction for your book, which we use as the baseline for your writing. Having the completed plan makes writing easier because you know what lies ahead.
Your weekly mentoring sessions will reflect on the Pyramid Plan to help you remain on track to deliver the book that will promote your business over the long-term.
Under the Author Mentor Program you receive:
- 2 x 1-hour face-to-face or phone meetings each month
- Monthly 2-page report summarising our discussions from that month
Our mentoring sessions will be driven by your needs and requests but will cover fundamental areas such as:
- Reviewing your progress
- Are you following your plan or, if not, is your manuscript evolving in the
- right direction?
- Identify what’s going well and why
- Identify stumbling blocks and work out strategies for overcoming them
- Discuss common writing and processes issues faced by authors
